If you love thrifting, flea markets, or southern crafts, you can’t miss the Porter Flea Summer Market! One of the longest-awaited and most lauded flea markets in the Nashville metro area, the dates of opening are slated to be: Friday, June 16th – $25 (Tickets go on sale May 1st) and Saturday, June 17th – 10am-5pm, no admission.
Although the market’s format will be familiar to longtime Porter Flea fans, this summer’s event comes with a renewed sense of purpose and a sharper focus on supporting local makers. This June they’ll gather with more than 140 gifted local and regional vendors.
Not familiar with Porter Flea Market? Nashville’s Porter Flea was launched in July, 2011, with a focus on celebrating modern handmade goods. Now in its sixth year, the juried and curated, semi-annual market is led by Katie Vance and her husband, HollerDesign owner Matt Alexander, who continue an emphasis on the handmade art and design movement, local businesses and community building. Along with connecting hundreds of local/regional makers with tens of thousands of shoppers, Porter Flea has earned consistent press praise, including being named Best Artisan Market by the Nashville Scene in 2012, and appearing in Southern Living, Garden & Gun, Native, Forbes Travel Guide, StyleBlueprint and other publications.
About the Nash Spring Bash
Project 615’s 3rd annual Nash Spring Bash is a Food Truck & Local Vendor Meet Up. It’s FREE to the public where you can enjoy live music, your favorite food trucks and over 50 local business vendors. Local radio station the Lightning 100 will be broadcasting live! If you’re not familiar with them, Project 615 is a philanthropic t-shirt & apparel company based in Nashville dedicated to helping the homeless in our community.
Proceeds of the event will go to a LOCAL nonprofit, and if you want a good sampling of the food and makers that will be showing up there, here’s the current list!
