nashville burgers summerSummer’s the time of fresh cocktails, burgers, fried chicken, grilling, and outdoor dining! But where in Nashville can you find some of the best for everything in summer? From the best patios in Nashville to the best burgers, here’s my picks for some of the best summer spots to dine out in Nashville, TN!

Amazing Burgers – Burger Up

They have a wonderful patio, though it’s small, but even if you’re eating inside, Burger Up’s burgers pretty much can’t be beat. Couple that with their AMAZING and well-priced seasonal cocktail menu? You’ve got a magic mix! It’s a great spot for lunch if you’re in 12 South, and for a casual weeknight dinner. The dining situation is a often family style, so be prepared to sit next to strangers. But that can be a fun experience (and always has been, in my opinion!) and the wait staff are usually great with kids.

High-End Dinner, Cocktails, Pool!? – Pinewood Social

Sure, it’s a little pricey, but the food, cocktails (and bourbon selection, if you’re a bourbon lover) are absolutely top-tier. Not a great place for younger kids, but a fun experience for older ones, Pinewood Social opens their pool in summer. Yes, you can swim, and have poolside drinks… and they’ve also got a high-end bowling alley!

acme_feed_and_seed_downtown_nashvilleLuxe Downtown Rooftop – Acme Feed & Seed

Acme Feed & Seed is a hot spot for the younger set, and has a fun menu and live music most nights. On the rooftop patio, there’s often other music playing, and there are bar options for enjoying summer nights in downtown Nashville. Leave the kids at home; this is a great spot for singles and couples wanting a night out. But be warned; if they have an event, there may be a cover charge to enter, and parking in the area is often quite expensive.

Casual Downtown Rooftop With Southern Classics – Pour House

Pour House is just past the Gulch near the brewery district, and is just down the road from three of Nashville’s own local breweries! Their rooftop patio is a great place for dinner, with stunning downtown views. The food’s pretty stellar, and recalls most of the southern classics. Pour House also has a pretty fantastic whiskey and beer selection.

Casual Burger & Beers – M.L. Rose

This is a fun patio for kids, and as a plus, dinner’s not too expensive! M.L. Rose is a great neighborhood hangout with two locations, and the Charlotte Ave area in particular is pretty fantastic, with a fire pit, several benches, and cute art car.

Casual Mexican in East Nashville – Rosepepper

Love Mexican or Tex-Mex? Love it even more when you can get a good meal for under $10, and on certain nights have FANTASTIC margaritas at jaw-dropping prices? Rosepepper Cantina is a pretty amazing find, and is nicely centrally located to many East Nashville areas.
