St. Patrick’s day is Thursday, March 17 2016! Whether you call this green-themed holiday St. Patrick’s, St. Paddy’s, or St. Patty’s, everyone knows that this day really amounts to one thing: celebrating in bars and restaurants with friend and family, wearing something green to avoid getting pinched, and (very likely) drinking a lot.

Many of the formal St. Patrick’s day festivals and bar crawls happened over the weekend, but if you’re a traditionalist and would prefer to celebrate on the actual holiday, never fear! Many Nashville icons are celebrating on Thursday, and we’ve picked through the list to deliver some of the best.

Acme’s St. Paddy’s Day Dance Party

Acme Feed & Seed is known for hosting some of the best public parties in Nashville, and their downtown location, with plenty of rooftop space to view the skyline and the river, great food, and massive beer selection make them the go-to-venue for a lot of Nashville’s younger bar-going set. This party has no cover, and will feature not the traditional Irish music… but Rihanna’s own tour DJ, KnowledDJ. To celebrate, Acme is giving away a VIP experience ticket to Rihanna’s Bridgestone show a few days later.

St. Paddy’s Party at the Sutler

The Sutler on Franklin Pike is holding a big bash for the holiday, and on top of live music, will be offering $8 Irish car bombs, $5 Jameson shots, and $3 green beers. Attendees will have the opportunity to get great giveaway swag, and in the cellar below the restaurant and bar, it’ll be 90’S night!

Harp & Fiddle’s St. Patrick’s Day

Previously the Dan McGuinness, this re-vamped and re-branded staple on Demonbreun will be bringing out plenty of Irish bands and music for an all-night dance shindig sure to be loud and crowded. Expect that there will be great live music, drink specials, and of course, they have the claim to the best fish & chips in Nashville! They regularly go head-to-head with Underground Nashville for the title.

M.L. Rose St. Patric’s Day Party

The M.L. Rose locations will be holding a great St. Patrick’s Day party beginning at 6:00 in the evening, which will involve $3 green beers, $5 Jameson shots, and $8 Irish Car bombs. But they’ll also be debuting a new patio and giving away prizes! While they don’t traditionally have Irish fare, their burgers are known to be among the best in town.
